Subsidies Heating Optimisation

Subsidies Heating Optimisation

When purchasing new or refurbishing heating circulation pumps and hot water circulation pumps, the use of highly efficient components can save a lot of energy compared to inefficient systems. In addition, the implementation of a hydraulic balance can result in an optimal distribution of heat in the building, which can lead to further savings. The BAFA program "Subsidies Heating Optimisation" provides non-repayable investment grants of up to 25.000 € for the use of a better technology and the execution of a hydraulic balancing.

Why does my heating system need to be optimised?

Inefficient circulation and circulation pumps as well as an increased return temperature due to inefficient heat distribution can ensure that your energy consumption is greatly increased, and therefore also your energy costs!

The Federal Office of Economics and Export Control currently offers companies high subsidies to optimise heating systems.

Save energy and secure subsidies of up to 25,000 €

When purchasing new or refurbishing heating circulation pumps and hot water circulation pumps, the use of highly efficient components can save a lot of energy compared to inefficient systems. In addition, the implementation of a hydraulic balance can provide an optimal distribution of heat in the building, which can lead to further savings.

By investing in highly efficient systems, you can save on investment costs by providing subsidies and at the same time reduce the cost of energy consumption by the system in question.

The BAFA Förderprogramm Heizungsoptimierung (BAFA Heating Optimisation Grant Programme) provides non-repayable investment grants of up to 25,000 € per location for the use of this more efficient technology.

Alternatively, for the new acquisition or refurbishment of cross-sectional technologies, support is possible through the BAFA support module 1 cross-sectional technologies with non-repayable investment grants of up to 200,000 €.

How can subsidies be applied for?

Heating optimisation support programme:

Registration with the BAFA must take place before the start of the measures (i.e. before the contract is awarded).
The maximum amount of the subsidy is

30% of the investment costs for services both in connection with the replacement of heating circulation pumps and hot water circulation pumps by high-efficiency pumps and in connection with hydraulic balancing

Support module 1 Cross-cutting technologies:

The prerequisite is that your company can present a business registration, an excerpt from the commercial register or an excerpt from the register of craftsmen.
The funding must be applied for before the contract is awarded.
The maximum amount of funding is

40% of the investment costs for small and medium-sized enterprises
30% of investment costs for other and large enterprises (not SMEs)
As with many other funding programmes, the funding conditions are not trivial. To achieve maximum funding for your measure, we recommend that you consult an expert. Your independent consultant from Bode Planungsgesellschaft will support you here!

Which measures to optimise a heating system are subsidised?

Heating optimisationCross-section technologies
Highly efficient replacement of heating circulation pumps and hot water circulation pumpsSubsidy of highly efficient pumps
Heating optimisation by means of a hydraulic adjustment for existing heating systemsSubsidy of control and regulation technology including sensor technology
In connection with hydraulic balancing, additional investments and optimisation measures at existing plants can be promotedSubsidy of plant periphery
Insulation of plant components (if requested as insulation)

What level of funding can I receive for cross-sectional technologies and heating system optimisation?
You can receive a grant of up to € 25,000 to promote the replacement or new acquisition of high-efficiency systems and hydraulic balancing through the heating optimisation funding programme. You can receive a grant of up to € 200,000 for the promotion of the replacement or new acquisition of high-efficiency systems through funding module 1.

What do I have to consider?

The rule applies: first the registration/application, then the implementation!

New and replacement investments of the measures listed in the table above are subsidised. The type and amount of funding is determined individually.

The investments for an single measure (Module 1 Cross-sectional Technologies) must amount to at least net investment costs of € 2,000.

The subsidies cannot be combined, neither with each other nor with other subsidies from public funds for the same measures. Furthermore, the use of a tax incentive according to § 35a para. 3 EStG (tax reduction for craft services) for measures funded in these programmes is excluded.

What is the application procedure?

After a preliminary discussion to determine the eligibility of your measure, our advisors take over the application and processing to acquire the funding. As the interface between you and the authorities, we ensure that the application process runs smoothly. Your day-to-day business will not be disturbed!
