In order to increase energy efficiency, the German government has adopted a National Action Plan for Energy Efficiency (NAPE), which, among other things, provides for the promotion of renovation in non-residential buildings or of highly efficient cross-sectional technologies and technical systems. Here we explain which subsidies you can particularly benefit from.

KfW and BAFA have made numerous adjustments in the Energy Efficiency Programme in the course of the climate resolutions. At the same time, the amount of funding for the so-called individual measures (including insulation, windows, heating, compressed air optimisation, heating with renewable energies, etc.) has been increased significantly. Thus, increasing the investment and redemption grants in the KfW support programme 278, 295 or BAFA programme "Federal support for energy efficiency in the economy" is particularly interesting for companies!

Funding for individual measures in companies
The federal government not only promotes holistic consulting services within the framework of an energy-saving concept or energy consulting for small and medium-sized enterprises, but also targeted, smaller-scale measures to optimise technical systems and the use of cross-sectional technologies. Companies can apply for up to 55 % funding for such measures under the NAPE. Examples include:
- Electric motors and drives for stationary use
- as well as their control and regulation technology (frequency converters etc.)
- pumps for industrial and commercial applications
- if not used in heating circuits of buildings for the supply of heating and hot water
- Fans in ventilation systems and systems for heat recovery in ventilation and air-conditioning systems
- Compressed air generators and heat recovery systems in compressed air generating plants
- Heat recovery or waste heat recovery systems
- Insulation of industrial plants or plant components
- Optimising energy efficiency is particularly worthwhile for trades with high energy consumption, for example ovens or paint booths, and is being promoted within the framework of NAPE.
National Energy Efficiency Action Plan (NAPE)
With the NAPE, the federal government wants to support companies that want to use particularly efficient or innovative technologies to improve energy efficiency.
